IT Associates Cup Final: Goonhavern v Liskeard Athletic

In what proved to be a really good end to end game, played in a superb sporting manner. Goonhavern pulled of a suprise win at Bodmin Town FC, defeating Liskeard 1-0 to lift the IT Associates Cup. Emily Lawrence scored 30 minutes into the second-half.

Liskeard played the patient build-up, whilst Goonhavern successfully resisted and tried to strike on the break. Their defence restricted the opportunities to Liskeard's pacy forwards, whilst Goonhavern's own fast forward, L.A. Reeks, had limited chances herself. Liskeard were on top possession-wise in the second-half but after when a series of corners, Reeks hit the bar and later Lawrence fired home at the back post. Liskeard had a goal denied by an offside flag 10 minutes from time, as Warren Parker's team held out for victory. Player of the Match was Goonhavern's Lauren Whitehall.
