Ilfracombe Town blasted out of the blocks with an opening 8-1 victory over Tavistock Town. Donna Adams (4), Jess Pearce (3) and Shelley Greaves did the damage for Ilfracombe, with Kirsty Jones replying for Tavistock. The win left Ilfracombe in third.
Feniton stayed in fourth after their 7-2 defeat of Galmpton United, with Natasha Lovell rifling home a hat-trick, and Rose Akers claiming four. New signing Leanne Hunt grabbed both of Galmpton’s goals in a game which saw Feniton start with ten players and Galmpton end the game with nine. In a generally good-humoured game one incident produced a yellow card for a Feniton player and a red for a Galmpton player, followed later by the dismissal of the Galmpton keeper for an apparent foul on a Feniton forward.
