U13's: Enfield Town Ladies v Pinnacle Youth

Middlesex Cup Final Girls Under 13
13th March, 2005
Enfield got off to a positive start and soon settled into the game with the midfield taking control that lead to the first goal after about five minutes from Rhiannon Routledge. A second goal followed with a good run from Page Leighton.

Pinnacle were now more positive in their passing and were playing some good football but were unable to break Enfield’s defence.

Enfield’s forwards avoided the offside flag with a well timed run and one of Flo Gambys through balls which lead to goal number three from Lizzie Kent.

Near the end of the first half, Bianca Baptiste hit goal number four with a beautifully struck ball giving the Pinnacles keeper no chance.
Half time
The second half saw Enfield again taking the game to Pinnacle with another goal from Page Leighton and Bianca Baptiste.

The score didn't portray Pinnacles performance in the second half as they pushed forward, only good defensive play from Enfield’s back four - Dannielle Barrell, Caroline Hughes, Nikki Owen and Laura Tyrreil - prevented Pinnacle scoring.

An excellent run from Pinnacle forced an error from Enfield that lead to a penalty.
Enfield’s keeper Chelsea Gubby held her nerve and crowned one of her best games with a good reaction save.

Enfield’s manager Rob Owen made the best use of the team with substitutes halfway through the second half when Jessica Spears was brought on and ten minutes later so were Cheynne Gubby and Haries Constantinou.

Enfield completed the game with two more goals, one from April Jenkins and another from Rhiannon Routledge.

Enfield Town Ladies would like to thank Pinnacle Youth for an excellent match.
With thanks also to the match officials and the Middlesex County Football Association for a well organised event.
Final score: Enfield Town Ladies 8 Pinnacle Youth 0

Teams: Enfield Under-13s, Pinnacle Youth U13s
