Enfield Town Ladies FC - 5-a-side Tournament

Enfield Town Ladies hosted a successful tournament, which was enjoyed by Players, officials and spectators alike. Teams came from a wide range of the country and everybody went home happy.

On Saturday 17/06/2006 the junior event was a massive success for the host with only Hoddesdon Owls in the under 13 age group preventing a clean sweep as Under 11s, under 12s, under 14s and under 15s beat all put before them.

The senior event on Sunday 18/06/2006 ended with Fulham winning the major competition with Justine Lorton netting the only goal of the final from long range with just 30 seconds of extra time to go before penalties against Woking ‘A’.

Enfield Town Rotties won the supplementary Plate competition against Haringey ‘B’ with Georgina Broderick scoring the only goal from the penalty spot as a Haringey player was penalised for stepping into the keepers area.

Enfield Town Ladies would like to thank everybody who made the weekend such a great success, from the players to Mr Chris Turner and his team of Referees, everyone entered into the tournament with a good attitude.
