Cornwall Women's Football Newsmail Match reports for matches played 23rd November. Fixtures for 30th November.

Match reports

SOUTH WEST LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
Frome Town 4-1 Penzance
Penzance slipped to a fourth consecutive defeat with a 4-1 reverse at Frome Town. Holly Sandow gave them the lead and had chances to increase the advantage but the Magpies were to be made to pay for their missed opportunities. Having conceded an equaliser as the outcome of a poor pass out, a static defence and the failure to clear a corner accounted for another two goals in a disappointing afternoon. Katie Barker played the full 90 minutes despite last week's broken wrist.

Penzance continue a stint of away games on Sunday that lasts until the New Year, with a trip to Buckfastleigh Rangers in the second round of the Pat Sowden Cup.
Bristol Soccerworld Cup 2nd Round
Bristol City Robins 2-5 Newquay
Newquay beat Bristol City Robins for the third time this season, with a 5-2 away win in the Bristol Soccerworld Cup. Newquay have a long trip to Gloucester City on Sunday in the second round of the Pat Sowden Cup.
Cornwall League Division 1
Newquay Res 2-4 Marazion
Marazion moved to within a point of first place with a 4-2 win away to Newquay Reserves. The game took some time to come to life, not doing so until Newquay took the lead. Marazion responded with a brace from Carly Jacka, one each from Sarah Winn and Jo Barker, the latter creating the other three goals for the Blues. Marazion are at home to Mullion this Sunday.
Cornwall League Division 2 West
Hayle 3-0 Porthleven
Hayle took control of the promotion six-pointer against Porthleven by half-time, twice chipping the visiting keeper before Port conceded an unfortunate own-goal. Although they had a better second-half, they were unable to fight their way back into the match.

Hayle will expect three points this Sunday when Falmouth Town visit, whilst Porthleven go to Holmans.
Kerrier Terriers 0-9 Madron
Madron's Nicki Ross bagged a hat-trick as they beat Kerrier's nine Terriers 9-0. Defender Lorna Trudgeon twice came forward to score, Jane Friggens also scored twice, Sue Morse and Amanda Wilkinson one each. Madron play host to St. Just this Sunday.
St. Just 2-4 Falmouth Town
St. Just keeper Becky Williams was called upon to make two saves in the first ten seconds as Falmouth Town flooded forward with a two-player advantage. But the only difference at half-time was a goal from Zoe Griffiths, her shot having come out of the foot of the post but backspin took it over the line. Jody Newark and Michala Cushen missed opportunities to increase the lead, whilst St. Just's nine players were still able to muster a few chances of their own. Cushen did bag a second-half brace though and Newark also hit the target as Falmouth won 4-2.
Cornwall League Division 2 East
Roche 2-6 Stoke Climsland
Stoke Climsland won 6-2 at Roche with Zoe Harris and Natalie Ryder both contributing braces. Paula Dale and Jan Rider were the visitors other scorers, whilst Paulette Spry and Tracey Dawe netted for a disappointing Roche.
St. Breward 5-2 St.Columb Minor
Leaders St. Columb Minor crashed 5-2 at fifth-placed St. Breward, for whom Tamsin Keat did the damage with four goals. Wendy Birkbeck also scored for the hosts, with Sam Oakes and Julie Chambers netting for Minor. Next up for St. Breward is a home game versus Stoke Climsland this Sunday, whilst Minor host Wadebridge.
Wadebridge Town 0-0 Goonhavern
Wadebridge Town and Goonhavern moved into second and third place respectively after their hard-fought goalless draw.
Cornwall Cup 2nd Round
Launceston 14-0 Storm
Launceston eased past Storm in the County Cup with a 14-0 win against the visitors' seven players. Pippa Kempthorne scored half the tally, Fiona Stephenson four, with singles from Alex Harris, Amy Shirley and Rachel Deebner. Storm are back in league action at Clijah Croft this Sunday, with Roche the visitors for a bottom on the table clash.
