Squad selected for La Manga


Brent Hills will take a squad of 18 players to La Manga later this month where the England Women's U23 team will take on USA, Germany and Norway in a four nation tournament.

In Ashley Baker, Kerys Harrop, Chelsea Weston, Michelle Hinnigan, Remi Allen and Jade Moore, Hills has included six members of last season's U19 squad that triumphed in the European Championship.

A number of the squad are eligible to appear in this year's FIFA Women's U20 World Cup and Hills will cast his eye over their progress in Spain.

Hills has also called on Carly Telford, Fern Whelan, Steph Houghton, Sophie Bradley, Rachel Williams and Natasha Dowie who have all had a taste of England's senior team set-up.

England's opening match of this four nation tournament pitches them against Germany on 22 February. They then take on Norway two days later and will conclude matters against USA on 26 February.
