2 new Charter Standard Awards for Staffordshire

Staffordshire Football Association has announced that Bradwell Belles and Stoke City Ladies are the first clubs in Staffordshire to achieve the FA Charter Standard Adult Club Award. Both clubs have already attained the Charter Standard Club Award for their junior sections but have now achieved Adult club status. The Charter Standard Award is the kitemark for football and the scheme encourages clubs to meet criteria in order to provide quality experiences for all their players. The scheme helps clubs to improve the service they provide, and assist them to raise standards and adopt good practice. The Adult Club Award is the most recent addition to the Charter Standard scheme, which includes Charter Club, development club, community club, school and holiday courses. Currently, Bradwell Belles are in their first season of adult football placed second in the Staffordshire County Women’s League, which is also in its inaugural season. Stoke City Ladies are also looking good in fourth position in the West Midlands Premier League Girls and Women’s Football Development Officer, Claire Hermon, said: “It’s fantastic news that Bradwell Belles and Stoke City are the first two clubs to achieve the new adult Charter Standard award. Both clubs are proactive in promoting girls and women’s football in their area and this award is in recognition of their hard work.” If anyone is interested in applying for any level of the FA Charter Standard Award, please contact Andy Weston or Claire Hermon at Staffordshire FA on 01785 256994.
